It goes down in the DMs! After they started following each other on Instagram, Kenneth messaged Amarachi for the first time on Saturday, April 15th, 2023. Kenneth wasted no time, as he asked for a phone call on Tuesday, April 18th, and took her on their first date on Saturday, April 22nd.
On May 20th, 2023, Kenneth surprised Amarachi with matching Washington Nationals jerseys and took her to her first major league baseball game. As former athletes and eternal sports fans, Amarachi and Kenneth have enjoyed countless games (and new jerseys) since then.
On June 16th, 2023, Kenneth made it official and asked Amarachi to be his girlfriend. They ended the weekend with a visit to Hershey Park- and what could be sweeter than that?
In July 2023, Amarachi and Kenneth went on their first road trip together- to Boston!
The only "con" in this relationship is Comic Con. In October 2023, Kenneth took Amarachi to her first Comic Con, which they have attended each year since.
On February 14th, 2024, Amarachi and Kenneth celebrated their first Valentine's Day together in Las Vegas!
In August 2024, Amarachi and Kenneth took their first international trip together- to Costa Rica!
On April 27th, 2025, Kenneth (with the help of Amarachi's incredible family and friends) executed the surprise proposal of a lifetime.
On May 25th, 2025, we made our way to the National Cathedral and Kennedy Center for our engagement photoshoot.
On May 31st, 2025, Amarachi and Kenneth joined their families and close friends to participate in the traditional "Iku Aka" ceremony. This is the first formal step in the Igbo traditional wedding process. The groom's family visits the bride's family to formally express their intention to marry their daughter.
